NUCLEAR WEAPONS
I am of the opinion that nuclear weapons definitely be outlawed worldwide as soon as possible. If we don’t deal with this problem soon it is inevitable that we will suffer catastrophic consequences. It is the matter of human survival and a major threat to our existence.
First of all, the primary reason nuclear weapons should be banned is that they threaten every life on the planet. No one would deny that nuclear weapons are the most terrifying weapon ever invented. A nuclear detonated in a city would immediately kill tens of thousands of people and tens of thousands more would suffer horrific injuries, later die from radiation exposure. It is so dangerous to hold such destructive weapons worldwide that it should be banned.
Secondly, it costs lots of money to possess nuclear weapons. According to the Congressional Budget Office, the United States spends an estimated $ 34.8 billion per year to maintain, operate and upgrade its nuclear weapon arsenal. It is doubtful whether it is worth spending a lots of money on such weapons that may only ruin us.
Lastly, nuclear weapons are dangerous to develop and maintain. For example, Japanese people were killed in a hydrogen bomb test at Bikini Atoll. We must not forget that the probability for similar accidents happens.
For the reasons mentioned above, it is a truism that nuclear weapons should be banned worldwide. 听起来自然吗?

No problem! Do not worry too much about writing in perfect English. I could still totally understand what you were talking about even on my first reading. 少なくとも、とおる英語を書いていよ!
I was being nitpicky with "immediately" and "instantly" anyway, and I should have considered your current level of English more. Remember, it is a very subtle difference but in the end does not mean a lot.
「Here is my explanation for the main nuance between "immediately" and "instantly" (sorry if it is a bit complicated!):
"Immediately" is something that happens so quickly that it feels instant, even if it is not.
"Instantly" is something that actually happens instantly, almost without any delay.
Think of it like the difference between a fast movement (Place A -> Place B extremely quickly), and something binary (Point 0 -> Point 1 instantly).
When we use "immediately" for something, it usually means that there was still some kind of a movement.
Example:
"I immediately ran after my train"
You probably did not go from 🧍♂️ ->🏃♂️ instantly (it takes a few seconds to go from a standing position into a run!), but the movement from that standing position into a run was probably so fast that it *felt* instant to you. But, that does not have to mean it was instant, it was just very very fast.
"I pressed the button, and it instantly turned red"
If you pressed a button, and it turned from 🟢 -> 🔴 that is something that happened instantly without any delay. One moment it was 🟢, and then BAM, it turned 🔴. It happened as quickly as the sound of "CLAP" from me 👏 clapping.
As a result, when a nuclear bomb falls on the ground, the explosion is basically instant. It is so ridiculously fast, that in one moment you see 💣the bomb and instantly it becomes an 💥 explosion.」
As you can see, it is a very very subtle difference. Please do not be angry with yourself that you used a word which was not as accurate as another one.
Keep studying!
