天然 is more about the god we said 老天爷 in China this word is used in describing resources,we say it should be like this and no man intervene .it’s depend on the principle of nature.自然 is nature,means let it be .this word is more bigger .
你是一个天然美女。you’re a natural beauty.
我们应该尊重自然。we should respect nature.

一般是没区别的。但是“天然”强调是非人为生存的，非人为创造存在的。比如：天然的景观，纯天然的食物。
“自然”是最复杂的：它有“of cause”也就是“当然“的意思，这是个高级用法，一般初学者遇不到；还有”natural“的意思，可等价于”天然“，you can grasp it as "天然"in a sense；还有”stiffness“的意思。

所以，你可以说：他的英语（说得）自然而流利，但你不能说：他的英语（说得）天然而流利！再比如，你可以说：他的表演（acting）很自然，或者说：她的表情很自然，但你不能用”天然“去描述表演、表情、语言、文笔（style of writing）表达等。

天然 means "natural" in the sense that something is produced literally by nature, and it cannot be used figuratively. So you can say a gemstone is 天然 (in the sense that it was not carved artificially but just like that when you picked it up from the beach), but you cannot say an expression is 天然, because it is figurative. For that you use 自然.
