I understand the English translation that was given was a more literal translation for comparison of each word and sentence layout, but does saying “你帮我介绍一所电影学校吧！” sound a bit of a strange way to say this?
(He is asking the person to help introduce him to a "film / movie school", I just thought maybe the way it was said sounded slightly unusual)

介绍 has a second meaning apart from “to introduce”, which is “to recommend”. It is this meaning that is used here. In addition, 帮我 is also not “help me” but rather “for me”：
你帮我介绍一所电影学校吧
Recommend a film school for me, will you?
