Both of the words mean two hundred and have the same usage. People living in Northern China usually use 二百, but people living in Southern China often use 两百.

For the most part, 两百 is used in daily conversation, such as:

I think we've invited about 200 people.
我们已经邀请了大约两百人。

Two hundred years ago French was the dominant language.
两百年前法语是占统治地位的语言。

However, we don't say “二百” a lot in daily conversation, and it is more often used in situations that emphasize its mathmatic function, such as:

That year marked the nation's two hundredth birthday.
那一年是美国建国二百周年。

Coming to Spain can cost between 1200 and 1400 with everything included.
来西班牙的全部费用可能在一千二百到一千四百英镑之间。

But it is okay if you use them interchangably in most cases.

几乎没有不同，但初级的话，尽量避免二百，因为会被误听成 二百五 ，一个很不好 的 词
