Presently, I just use a little social media, because it stresses me out and I feel that in this way I spend my time better.

You can meet good friends on HelloTalk, but I think there are a lot more people who want to date rather than language exchange.
I recommend conversationexchange.com, or search discord servers

I think Hellotalk is not bad if you're looking for friends. I could meet my current Korean friend through Hellotalk. But many people on Hellotalk seemed to write there just to kill their boredom.
I'm using Hi native sometimes to ask questions about Korea when I need more than one opinions from Korean people. Hope my answer would be of help.
