I have heard that you say more "miss and mr" in schools and "professor" in university and not teacher so in this sentence "my teacher always carries a box of pencils to class" could be replaced by "my mr always carries a box of pencils to class" or does it sound weird?

No, that’s unnatural. We use Mr., Mrs., or Miss when referring to the teacher by name.

Teacher Smith ❌
Mr. Smith ✅

If you’re just talking about your teacher and not mentioning his/her name, then you need to say “my teacher”.

It does sound weird. "My Mr." or "My Mrs." are not used often and they are usually only used by people talking about their spouses or romantic partners. In your sentence, it sounds as if you are dating the person carrying the pencils lol

“My teacher always carries a box of pencils to class” is correct. Miss and Mister (mr) are never used like this.
