You have to respect the social customs when you are out in the public in the UK
When you meet someone at first, they might seem a little cold / restricted at first unless you know the person beforehand. Social customs such as hugging, kissing on the check when you meet someone, is only reserved for people who are close to you, or family members. Only shake hands on the first meet. Avoid talking loudly in the streets or public spaces in general. Say hello when you enter small shops, it’s rude to just barge in and not greet the person inside. Rest of the social etiquettes remain the same as anywhere in the world.
Mostly in the American culture people seem to be more open, but in British culture, it is a little different as people are more reserved.
