关于英语 (美国) 的问题
In League of Legends, Announcer Ahri sometimes says “ Uh uh, deadsies” on player’s death. What does “deadsies” mean?
From my search on the Internet, what I’ve known are that it’s a slang word and that it’s an upbeat synonym for the deceased. Is it correct? Or is there anything more to be explained?

That’s correct, -sies is an upbeat, cutesy way of saying something. The most common way you’ll hear it is “oopsies!” which is a cute, upbeat way of saying oops. Oops is what you say when you make a small mistake, like dropping something or forgetting something unimportant.
I haven’t heard what you’re talking about but I think you may actually mean he says “uh oh, deadsies,” since “uh oh” is what you say when something bad has happened. If you pay attention in movies you’ll very likely hear it. It can be cute or serious depending on the tone, but I figure if it’s followed by a cute “deadsies,” it’s probably a cute “uh oh.”

@monochromacolor I listened to the audio file again and it is “uh oh”. There’s an error in transcription and I shouldn’t have believed it to be correct 😭. Thank you so much 🙏🙏🙏
