关于英语 (美国) 的问题

If I want to send a gift and a thank-you note for my professor, should I put it in her office or should I send it to her face to face? (I study in America now)

Both are fine :D

Giving it to her face to face would be more personal. If you are shy, leaving it in her office is totally fine.

Side note: you can "give" something face to face, but you can't "send" something face to face.

yes both are fine, but i'd directly hand the gift over to her because you'll see her reaction and it's always great to see how you can make someone happy

I would give it to her face to face, but if the letter is really meaningful and thankful then I would probably leave it on the desk so that it wouldn't be awkward standing there while she read the letter.
