关于英语 (美国) 的问题

Hopefully you still have a spot in your class. 听起来自然吗？

I want to say "I hope I can join your dance class again." with a funny way. Like with a bit joke? I hope it makes sense... I haven't seen my dance teacher for over a year, and I'm taking her class next month. So I want to email her that I'm looking forward to take her lesson again though. Since we were sort of friend, I don't want to be too serious. But I don't want to be rude either.

If it's to make a bit of a joke I would say "I'm hoping there is still a space for me in class" or "If there's still space in your class, I hope you can squeeze me in!"
