Yes! You can try making it flow more smoothly by saying,

"I like the t-shirt I just tried on but the sleeves don't fit me."

or

"I like the shirt I just tried on but the sleeves are too short."

@melissahart What if I wanted to say that the waistline is too short.

Could I say ''I just tried on this t-shirt but the waistline doesn't fit me'' or ''the waistline is too short'' ?

The first sentence is correct but the second is not. Instead of saying 'too short' you can say,

"the waistline is too tight"

The first sentence is the best one. 😄

Both are natural, but the second sentence is the one we would probably use most of the time. (:
